Method
- Place frozen and fresh strawberries, lime juice, sugar syrup, and white rum in the blender.
- Blend untill all the strawberries are well blended.
- Taste and adjust the sweetness more sugar syrup and sourness with lime juice.
- You can add more rum if you like stronger drinks.
- Pour into glasses, garnish with fresh strawberries and serve.
Notes:
- I use a combination of fresh and frozen strawberries to achieve the perfect slushy texture.
- If you use only frozen strawberries, It comes out like a sorbet.
- If you don't have frozen strawberries, you can use ice to get the right texture.
- I like to use Bacardi white rum, but you can use your choice of rum.
- Recipe calls for 4 oz of white rum. Alternatively, you can use 3 oz white rum and 1 oz Cointreau. This gives a hint of tropical flavor to the daiquiri .
